The Next Upheaval in Science will come from Scripture

Nature is hard to pin down. It is always revealing new mysteries to scientists. The universe seems to be much stranger than one would expect within a framework of physical laws. In fact, there are no known physical laws that would explain how quantum probabilities lead to (collapse into) classical measurement outcomes, or how time, space, and matter emerged from a pre-geometric, Big Bang singularity.

This has caused some physicists to look at scientific models of reality based on consciousness. Some theorize that the Grand Unified Field and pure consciousness may be one and the same thing.

Although a science based on consciousness opens the door to theological considerations, few rational thinking people would ever expect to find a final “Theory of Everything” within the pages of God’s Holy Word.

But this is exactly what scientist/theologian Emanuel Swedenborg discovered. He found that the order and arrangement of the biblical narratives contained all the organized complexity found in the human anatomy and its myriad processes.

This sacred bio-complexity includes neuroscience. Swedenborg found that the three-storied structure of Noah’s Ark portrayed a multi-leveled model of human cognitive architecture.

He found that God’s Holy Word was a multi-dimensional document that expressed top-down causality between heaven and earth, spirit and matter.

He discovered how the unfolding stories in Scripture portrayed successive events from a non-local, simultaneous, and eternally present goal (called prolepsis). In other words, Scripture offers a way to understand how the Infinite (God’s transcendence) has relation to and acts in the finite world (God’s eminence).

He ascertained that Scripture contains the same discrete structure as space and time (which would offer a solution to the mystery of quantum gravity).

He found out why the talking serpent in Eden, the fearful beasts and Great Red Dragon of Revelation were all ontologically real.

And the biggest discovery of all is that these discoveries are the catalyst that will help usher in the Lord’s Second Coming. The descent of the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, represents a new worldview coming straight from God in heaven to create a big shake-up in the hearts and minds of men and women on earth.

My next book, Proving God, will touch on all these unexpected ideas.

His most recent book, "Swedenborg & Gurdjieff: The Missing Links" is an edgy collection of anti-intuitive essays for personal transformation that challenges and inspires. He has been a student of the ideas of both Emanuel Swedenborg and George I. Gurdjieff for over thirty years. Read more about TheGodGuy, his books and his ideas at
