Hell is awash in God’s Love!

Many people believe that hell is a place of eternal punishment. People are cast into hell because they have angered God.  However, the truth is, that just as much of God’s love is being constantly directed towards those in hell as to the angels in the highest heaven.

How can this be? There are two answers to this. One answer deals with theology, the other, with science and causal processes.

Theologically, God is Infinite love, mercy, and the source of life itself. That is why the Lord said, “I am the vine and ye are the branches.” Therefore, no angel or citizen of hell has life from themselves and would instantly perish without the Lord God’s incessant living force sustaining every second of their very existence.

If God loves everyone equally, then how can people find their ultimate abodes in such opposite environments as heaven and hell? The answer is that people each receive God’s love and teachings differently according to their various dispositions (hearts). Those in hell (from the principle of free will) reject God and put themselves at the center of the universe. When one is self-absorbed, this not only disrupts the flow of God’s living force into his or her life but actually twists Divine Love into various compulsions and hurtful intentions.

The scientific explanation of this can be seen between poisonous or toxic plants and beneficial plants that grow on earth. Poison Ivy receives its life from the same warmth and heat of the sun’s rays as does the cherry tree. However, they each adapt the sun’s heat and light to their particular design.

The same thing happens with God’s Love (spiritual heat) and Truth (spiritual light) as it flows down from heaven into the hearts and minds of terrestrial citizens on earth. People adapt (customize) the design of their inner spirit from the life-choices and values they appropriate while living in the world. So when one dies and leaves the physical body behind, one is left with the self-design that he or she has imbued upon their own heart and mind.

God’s heavenly kingdom is a kingdom of MUTUAL love. Therefore, those who have lived a life according to God’s precepts will have fashioned their inner reality to enjoy the resplendency of Divine Love. But those who confirm within themselves opposite principles and a selfish life of self-gain and disdain towards others find that God’s Infinite Love actually brings them torment and pain!

Consider that heaven and hell are not physical places. They are formed and occupied by the various qualities of the human spirit.
