The future of science belongs to angels

Science has begun to ask itself questions which it no longer can answer. For instance, it cannot answer foundational issues concerning first causal principles or agency from a purely materialistic philosophy.

Why not?

Take the two pillars of current physics – relativity theory and quantum theory. Relativity theory leads us to a Big Bang beginning in which the universe finds itself shriveled into infinite compression (ever-decreasing radius) called a singularity where physical laws break down. Physical laws break down because time and space has no meaning for a singularity and physical laws are formulated in terms of time and space.

In quantum physics, fundamental reality consists of irreducible chance, a superposition of potentials, and mere “tendencies to exist.” No physical analog exists to describe such content (non-material behavior).

In the absence of physical laws science comes to a perplexing dead end and can go no further concerning the ontological status of primal realities.

This has led some researchers to believe that pure consciousness may be the key to the foundational origin of all the laws of nature. Other scientists are attempting to formulate a theory of causal processes from an idea of “pregeometry” whereby action and forms have realities outside of time and space.

The only intelligent beings capable of experiencing such a non-local and non-temporal reality are God’s angels, and special prophets who had their interior vision opened up to observe phenomena from the spiritual world (which is beyond space and time).

But has a true scientist ever been allowed similar access to this spiritual realm in order to make a systematic study of its non-material topological features?

Scientist/theologian Emanuel Swedenborg has claimed that for a period of almost thirty years he was given Divine permission to make observations of the spiritual world while still in the body. For instance, while pondering the neural connections between the brain and various organs in the human body, angels communicated to him additional information concerning the spiritual patterning principles that are represented by these organic designs.

Since angels live in the more interior realm of primary causes they understand every secret thing of the material human body from spiritual ideas. Swedenborg often found the intelligence of angels to go well beyond human comprehension and noted that they had a complete mastery of universal science, without mistake, from causal beginnings.

To spare scientists (or anybody else) from having to die in order to confirm Swedenborg’s findings, I have written a new book Proving God to condense his numerous scientific and theological works into a more manageable and contemporary form to provide interested readers with novel approaches towards unifying science and theology. It will be available to the public in Spring 2010.

    Hi GoodGuy,
As you mentioned above, “Swedenborg made observations of the spiritual world while still in the body.” And shared them with us! Such a brave, wonderful man.
I noticed in his Journal of Dreams, #243, that he was admitted into a certain “society” of spirits in heaven. I know from his other writings that he later discovered that each society seemed to have a particular location in the “Grand Man.” I am wondering if you recall which particular society, or location, it was to which he was admitted?
I know he did lots of traveling and exploring in the the spiritual realm, but I am wondering about this particular society. I thought you might have some thoughts on this… Thank you in advance.

    Blessings to you,

    Dear SWword,

When Swedenborg had written his Journal of Dreams the Lord God had not yet fully opened his spiritual eyes to be able to form a correct idea about the “Grand Man.” So Swedenborg was still in some obscurity during these initial dream-states.

Dream #243 is meant to communicate to him that he will play a special role in the Lord God’s grand scheme for the human race. Part of Swedenborg’s preparation was based on his anatomical research which provided him with the ability to later grasp the bio-design of heaven and the spiritual world.

Not enough information is given for me to even take a guess at what particular society of spirits dream #243 refers to – Swedenborg himself would not have known either at this preparatory stage.

Later, when his spiritual eyes were opened he discovered that heaven was organized in the same way as the human body and its internal organs – that is, all activity in heaven displays the same COOPERATIVE activity as is displayed among the various biological processes in the human body. These organic processes of mutual reciprocation are an effigy (correspondence) of spiritual love. The Lord’s heavenly kingdom is a kingdom of mutual love!

    Spiritually yours,

Yes, I see what you are saying. Thank you.
I am also thinking, just like Swedenborg described, that there are societies, or communities, in heaven [and they all cooperate just like you said]. And, I think Swedenborg was “admitted” or became a part of a particular one. [It seems like the Lord may have built each one of us from the beginning to be in a particular society, like brain cells are made to function specifically in the brain.] And, I wonder which society Swedenborg entered.
It is grand that we all work together. Fascinating…

    God bless,

    Dear SWword,

The Lord God DOES intend for everyone to serve a useful purpose in some heavenly society. While that Divine plan represents an individual’s heavenly DESTINY it is not necessarily one’s spiritual FATE. God protects free will above all things. Men and women find their eternal abode according to the principles and values they cherish in their hearts.

People find their proper habitation in the spiritual world simply by following paths that correspond to the paths their hearts and minds have followed while on earth. These paths are “paved” from the principles they have adopted into their lives. Everyone therefore recognizes their personal path in the other world just as one would recognize their own face in a mirror.

Since the spiritual world consists of spiritual substance, the spiritual “ground” one walks on represents the principles one stands for! The spiritual world provides a perfect feedback system to display the qualities of one’s inner reality.

The purpose of religion is to provide men and women with the proper path.

    Spiritually yours,
