Zero-Point Energy and Love

Current science (and quantum physics) describes zero-point energy as that which suggests a vacuum is not empty but that something always fluctuates or “jiggles” at any tiny point within a vacuum. If God created the world and God’s infinite activity can occupy a point in space equally as with all space, then zero-point energy must contain a theistic quality.

Generally speaking, most religions will describe God as having Infinite Love and Wisdom. So how would this Divine infinite dynamic of spiritual love and intelligence express itself within the tiniest scales of a vacuum?

Scientist/theologian Emanuel Swedenborg put forth the idea that fundamental reality consisted of goodness seeking form in usefulness. Therefore, zero-point energy consisted of pure endeavor from God’s Divine Will and Divine Scheme to create a universe unified by finding its rational order and formal structure through profound cooperation and utility. This pure holistic endeavor exists prior to the emergence of spacetime and matter and provides the principle of agency by which nature is driven towards coherent self-organization and harmonious complexity.

All action principles, patterns and curvatures are enfolded within the purely self-interacting, self-referring and “frictionless” flow of its infinite activity. Therefore, this non-dimensional point of pure endeavor is a form perfectly conductive to God’s providence.

Within Swedenborg’s model, one can find the causal link between apparent uncertainty in the quantum world and the certainty or determinative property of larger scale systems described by classical (Newtonian) physics. Love operates on both scales.

Current science is not quite prepared to look at Love as the first causal principle in the creation of the physical universe and the evolution of intelligent life. But this will become the big game-changer in the 21st Century.

My new book Proving God is an attempt to start shaking things up!

He is a member of the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences (C.T.N.S.) and the Swedenborg Scientific Association (S.S.A.). Award-winning author of "Sermon From the Compost Pile: Seven Steps Toward Creating An Inner Garden" and "Proving God," which fulfills a continuing vision that God’s fingerprints of love can be found everywhere in the manifest universe. His most recent book, "Swedenborg & Gurdjieff: The Missing Links" is an edgy collection of anti-intuitive essays for personal transformation that challenges and inspires. He has been a student of the ideas of both Emanuel Swedenborg and George I. Gurdjieff for over thirty years. Read more about TheGodGuy, his books and his ideas at
