Space aliens discover a major flaw in the psyche of earth-beings!

Not long ago, an exploratory spacecraft originating from a planet of a distant solar system entered into the earth’s atmosphere. The mission of these brave alien scientists was to discover why the biped earth-humans were causing such a disharmony within the normal flow and overall cosmic process of the universe.

This required that they abduct and beam up certain earth-individuals in order to conduct their special psycho-organic experiments. To make their findings complete, they made brain scans of earth-beings of all ages with their highly advanced technological probes. Their special apparatus could not only pinpoint the area of the brain with the greatest neural activity during a given experiment, it could detect on what level of structure—within the neuron itself—the different cognitive functions were originating from. (Long ago these alien scientists discovered that different cognitive functions operated on distinct substrates within the neuron.)

Their experiments with earth-beings verified that infants and young children progressed according to God’s divine plan and eternal goals. The aliens’ sensitive equipment could actually follow God’s divine and orderly influence down into the various levels of the human mind.

However, the alien researchers also discovered that as earth-children matured into young adults and learned the “ways of the world,” they created an artificial system of knowledge, based on modifying only one’s exterior presence for the mere sake of looking good to others. This practice became habitual until they began to cut themselves off from their own inner reality and God’s beneficial influence.

On one such occasion, when abducting an older human, the aliens detected a real split in the personality of this more mature specimen. “Look at this,” said alien scientist Zextro to his fellow researchers. “Our probes are showing that, on the one hand, external stimuli only affects the superficial and outermost structures of this earth-being’s neurons.  On the other hand, it clearly shows God’s benevolent influence continuing to flow into the deeper structures of the neuron. At the point where these two influences—outer and inner—should make contact, they don’t!”

The aliens were astounded by this abnormality.

The alien named Blendovin responded, “Good grief! The human psyche has split into an outer habitual consciousness and a subliminal or subconscious.” This strange split in the earth-being psyche was wholly unheard of among all the intelligent beings living on other planets throughout the entire universe.

Further intensive research revealed to the aliens that because humans were becoming increasingly worldly, their knowledge was simply turned into a function of the corporeal memory, where it was no longer reaching deeper into their subconscious mind. Over time, the aliens elucidated that the children of earth-beings learned this psychic disconnection from adults who acted quite differently from what they were always saying. This caused children to bury their essential inner being where it became the subconscious part of their mind, while adopting a more outer and artificial consciousness in order to live in and interface with the physical world.

“My God,” said the astonished alien scientist Visnicker. “No wonder earth-beings are psychically adapted for deceit, hypocrisy, revenge, hatred and conceit. When you can cut off your outer conscious mind from its deeper reality, you can easily ignore conscience.”

“This is extraordinary,” said the alien Lespulo. “Especially since they have been given religion by the God of the universe, just like the rest of us.”

“No wonder God came into their world to live and teach among them,” sighed a fifth alien scientist named Maxil-El-Ooptus. “God’s work is obviously unfinished in this part of the universe. Hey, let’s start to bring these earth specimens back to a more normal and spiritual existence, then release them again among their own kind! Perhaps this will start a new revolution in their thinking and spare our universe from this blight!”

So the aliens raised the operating table on which their mature human subject was strapped, and faced him towards a large screen on the compartment wall of the spaceship. The probes attached to the earth-being’s brain were again turned on, only this time they projected onto the screen the split elements that they detected operating within both of his split personalities.

The human abductee screamed in horror as he was forced to watch the truth of his knowledge simultaneously displayed on the screen with the truth of his actions. Soon the neural connections between the two sets of his consciousness were restored and their resulting friction gave rise to the transformation of this earth-specimen into a new spiritual being!

“This is something the earth-beings must learn to do for themselves. We wouldn’t need to use all this fancy, expensive equipment to re-establish the proper functioning of their psyche if those silly earth-beings would just practice a little sincere introspection,” said Zextro, as they prepared to return their research specimen to earth and make the long journey back home.
