Why was the one true God displaced?
For the better part of two thousand years, three individuals were all pretending to be the real God and occupied heaven’s throne. They were able to take this central position in heaven because some early church fathers down on earth had gotten together and made a big blunder about describing the nature of the Triune God. They mistakenly turned one God into three Persons and used such concocted words like “hypostatic union” to tiptoe around the fact that they had just destroyed monotheism. But their nonsensical ideas about God stuck throughout the Christian world!
Well, the one true Lord of heaven and earth decided that it was time to set things straight. The Christian world needed a new spiritual dispensation from “above” that would clear up the doctrinal mistakes being made by flawed human minds.
The Lord God approached the heavenly throne and unceremoniously kicked out the three make-believe representatives there. One imposter was an old-looking man with a long beard who was called “Father,” another younger man with a beard (seated to the right) was his only begotten “Son,” and the third representative, called the Holy Ghost, looked like a “pigeon.” These three bamboozlers performed a rather dubious ritual concerning human salvation. It went like this: The so-called Son would share the names of those on earth—who deserved to have their sins removed—with his Father. The Father had such great love for his Son that he agreed to such eternally saving action for all the “elect.” After the Father approved of the names on his Son’s list, he would then send the holy pigeon down to earth to perform the actual transformational duties. (When you have three Gods they have to be careful not to step on each other’s divine feet.)
After throwing these fictitious Gods out on their butts, saying that He alone was the “Alpha and Omega,” the One True Lord God took His rightful position back on the heavenly throne. The Lord knew this would create great conflict back on Earth, particularly for the many Christian factions there who were leading the blind. So He decided to return to the planet, although not physically this time, but with all new knowledge that would shine light on the mysteries of faith, especially concerning His triune nature and glorification on the Cross. The Lord was also fully cognizant that this new communication would need to be accomplished within an earthly environment that was becoming increasingly more scientifically sophisticated and skeptical of non-physical realities.
This ultimate task would include revealing deeper levels of meaning within the narratives of Holy Scripture to a capable scientist on earth and allowing that scientist to explore the spiritual world and inform other humans about its unique features, qualities and ontological reality.
There would be serious pushback to this Divine effort, particularly from those who worshipped the physical sciences or who, through false faith systems, would defend only the literal sense of the Biblical stories and the belief in three individual gods. This defensive posture was foretold in Revelation as symbolically representing the Great Red Dragon and other beasts of the Apocalypse that would rise up to fight against God’s angels and the new heavenly regime.
Yes, even religious worshippers would take the wrong side of this great battle when the Lord God revealed new things at His “Second Coming.” This battle is still going on today in the hearts and minds of men and women on earth!
