Are advanced civilizations from outer space actually low tech?

Futuristic-CityAccording to the spiritual explorer Emanuel Swedenborg they are. Swedenborg had the kind of life that totally challenges the operation of the human habitual mind.

As a great scientist who had labored to unify natural law with theological law, Swedenborg not only claimed that the Lord God opened his spiritual consciousness to observe and communicate with angels and those had had passed on from this earth, he also claimed to have spoken with those who had once lived on other planets in the universe!

Swedenborg claimed that these former inhabitants from other terrestrial worlds were not only a part of the cosmic human race,  they were also spiritually more advanced than those of our earth.

What struck me as amusing in Swedenborg’s observations is that no mention is made of advanced technology with these superior races of humanity. We earthlings tend to believe that advanced civilizations from outer space must have unimaginable technologies.

(This bias blinds us to the true meaning behind the Legend of Atlantis or the proper evaluation of the accomplishments of ancient cultures or even the strange race of Nephilim described in the Genesis Chapter of the Holy Word.)

But Swedenborg discovered that genuinely superior beings on other planets live an outward life that would seem primitive by our earthly standards of modern living. All these superior civilizations seemed to dismiss technology as an engine for true advancement. This is because earth-humans do not grasp that the mind, and its functioning, is layered into distinct degrees (some neuroscientists are only now beginning to suspect this sandwiched brain architecture). So rather than relying on a continuous increase of knowledge, which leads to fabricated technologies, the advanced beings from other worlds have tapped into higher levels of brain activity and perception.

Whereas we earthlings seek to discover the secrets of life through an accumulation of knowledge, these advanced beings have opened up higher levels of consciousness that allow them to enjoy a profound perspective and higher view of reality. This cosmic perception of reality includes a direct perception of a Creator-God and heavenly law that is inscribed in their hearts (so they have no need of chiefs, kings, judges or elected political leaders).

These advanced beings can instantaneously comprehend what it takes us earthlings, successive and increased data to comprehend (which only stuffs data into the brain’s corporeal/sensual level of the mind and its memory). This is an inferior level of brain activity in spite of our delusional praise for such a feeble and shallow operation of our psyche. (Human academia promotes the accumulation of knowledge rather than a “jump” to a new and higher level of awareness.)

As we humans see our futures tied to newer external technologies it seems that we are moving further from discovering our deeper human potentials (our inner psycho-spiritual technology). If spiritual growth is not your cup of tea, then consider the fact that our planet seems to be in worse danger for all our technological know-how and earthly inventiveness.

We simply cannot see the big picture while using only the lowest level of the human mind.
